Cirque Du Freak-A Living Nightmare

From Goodreads,

In the tradition of Stephen King's 'Salem's Lot, Cirque Du Freak is the frightening saga of a young boy whose visit to a mysterious freak show leads him on a journey into a dark world of vampires. Filled with grotesque creatures, murderous vampires, and a petrifying ending, Cirque Du Freak will chill, thrill, and leave readers begging for more.

Mass Market Paperback, 272 pages
Published April 1st 2004 by Little, Brown Young Readers (first published January 4th 2000)
ISBN 0316905712 (ISBN13: 9780316905718)
original title:Cirque Du Freak (The Saga of Darren Shan, #1)
series:Cirque Du Freak #1
characters:Darren Shan

I decided to read this book because I watched the movie and wanted to see how the book was.
Enter Darren Shan-a typical teenager with friends and a normal family who finds himself thrust into his destiny. In a desparate attempt to save his friend, he embarks onto a macabre journey into another world. the world of cirque De Freak.
A story of friendship in unlikely places with a touch of the macrabe to spice up your reading pleasure.
This was an easy read as it is Young Adult and I was able to finish quickly.
I would recommend this for kids 12 and up who like a little scare but not enough to cause nightmares.

Spirit Thorn-A Tale of Parallel Worlds by Zacharias O'Bryan

This book combined elements of nature and science to bring together a epic fantasy that drew me in from the first page.It sent my mind reeling about possibilities of other worlds. It made me think about our own reality. All these realities each moving in time with one another. Any book that can draw me in from the first page and make me keep reading is a 5 star book to me. His world weave is very descriptive and I can almost feel his world in my fingertips. Bravo..looking forward to more reads.
If you like a book that makes you think, this is the one for you:)

Sometimes you come across a book that is an absolute gem. This is one of them. It moved me and made me think about our reality and other worlds just beyond your fingertips. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

The Collector, Part 1- Daniel Russell

The Collector Book 1-Daniel Russell
This was a great supernatural thriller. There were some grammatical errors but didn't do anything to the story.
It was a creepy read. Very descriptive and pulled me into the story.
If you like creepy and supernatural books, this book is for you.

The Clever Detective by Linsey Lanier

Clever Detective by Linsey Lanier
Witty funny tale with a modern fairy tale twist. Few edits but didn't retract from the story. Quick fun read. Made me smile:)
Looking forward to reading more.

This is a great read on lunch break.

I Am Number Four :)

"They caught Number One in Malaysia"
"Number Two in England"
"And Number Three in  Kenya
"They killed them all."
"I am Number Four"
"I am Next"
I Am Number Four

Wow....what a thrill ride all the way through. I couldn't put the book down and read it until I was done. That only happens with books that grab me. It is a classed as a young adult novel but adults will like it too and it's a quick and easy read.
I found myself glued to the pages to find out what happened next. Some things were predictable but it was all good:)
So please take a look if you like fantasy, you will enjoy this ride.
